FC Bayern Munich loses to TSG Hoffenheim
Bayern Munich's 16-game unbeaten streak ends
TSG Hoffenheim earned a stunning 2-0 home win against ten-man Bayern Munich on Saturday to end the Bundesliga leaders' 16-game unbeaten run.
Robert Lewandowski hit the post early on for Bayern but Christoph Baumgartner gave Hoffenheim a shock lead when he tapped in from close range in the 16th minute. Andrej Kramaric doubled the lead nine minutes into the second half after Hoffenheim defender Stefan Posch was sent off for a second yellow card.
Bayern, who had won 14 of their previous 16 league matches, were unable to break down a stubborn Hoffenheim defense and now lead the standings by only seven points from Borussia Dortmund, who beat Freiburg 3-2 on Friday.
Hoffenheim moved up to eighth place with the win.
